HitchBook for iPhone · one email address, answered by the person who wrote the app.
There is no account to reset. HitchBook has no server and no sign-in, so most support questions are really questions about how the app behaves. The answers below cover what people actually write in, and they live here rather than behind a ticket on purpose.
The $4.99 unlock is tied to your Apple Account, not to the app or to this website. Open HitchBook's Settings tab and tap Restore purchase. If you reinstalled onto a different Apple Account, restore will not find it — the purchase lives wherever the original receipt does, and HitchBook cannot see across accounts.
One rotation rule and this year's calendar are free, permanently. The unlock adds a second and further rotations, browsing more than one year ahead, per-day notes and overrides, and the hours ledger with its CSV export. It is a single purchase. There is no subscription, no trial clock, and nothing that expires.
Nine times out of ten the anchor date is the cause rather than the arithmetic. Open the rotation and check Anchor date and That date is the — the pattern repeats from that one day forwards and backwards, so if the anchor is a day off, every hitch after it is a day off too. To fix a single day without disturbing the pattern, open that day and set it to Off or Vacation; the override is remembered for that date and the run either side keeps counting.
No. Rotations, notes and hours are written to one file inside HitchBook's own storage on your iPhone. The app requests no network permission, so it cannot upload them even if you asked it to. If you want a copy off the phone you have to start it yourself: Export backup file on the Settings tab, or Export CSV on the Hours tab.
Export the backup file first, then on the new phone use Restore from file on the Settings tab. iCloud's own app migration usually carries the file across on its own, but the export takes ten seconds and is the only copy that survives a botched migration. The unlock does not need to be moved — Restore purchase picks it up from your Apple Account.
Write to hnyxgxm2023@gmail.com. Include roughly what your rotation pattern is and what the calendar showed instead; that is usually enough to tell a bug from an anchor-date problem without a back-and-forth.
