HitchBook — Privacy Policy
Effective 27 September 2026
HitchBook does not collect personal data. There is no account, no sign-in, and no server for this app to talk to.
What stays on your device
Your rotation rules, calendar overrides, per-day notes, logged hours and pay settings are written to a single file inside HitchBook's own storage on your iPhone. They are not uploaded, backed up to us, or synced anywhere. Uninstalling the app removes them.
What we never see
- Name, email, phone number, address — the app never asks for them.
- Location, contacts, photos, calendar, health data — the app requests none of these permissions.
- Usage analytics, crash reports with identifiers, advertising IDs — none are integrated, and there are no third-party SDKs in the app.
Purchases
The one-time unlock is processed by Apple through your App Store account. HitchBook reads only the purchase entitlement Apple hands back to the device, so the app can keep the unlock after a reinstall. We do not receive a receipt, an Apple ID, or a name.
Export and backup
Exporting the ledger as a CSV or the backup as a JSON file is something you start, and the file goes wherever you choose in iOS's share sheet. Those copies leave your phone only because you sent them.
Children and changes
HitchBook is a work-schedule tool for adults. If this policy changes, the date above changes and the new version is posted here.
