Version 1.0 · effective 28 September 2026 · applies to Rowwise for iPhone. The seller name shown on the App Store product page is the contracting party for this purchase.
The short version. Rowwise has no server. Your projects — row counts, notes, photographs, dates — are written to the app's own storage inside your iPhone and never leave it. The app contains no networking code at all, so this is not a promise about how we might use your data; there is no route for it to travel.
Rowwise never shows a permission dialog. It has no camera access — photographs come from your library, not from a lens — and it cannot list your photo library either. When you tap Add photo and choose a picture, iOS hands the app that one picture. That is the whole of the app's reach into anything outside itself.
You pick it. The chosen image is copied into the app's own storage, re-encoded as a JPEG, and filed against the row you were on. Your original stays in the Photos app untouched, and Rowwise keeps no reference back to it — deleting the picture from your library afterwards does not affect the record, and deleting the record does not touch your library.
All of it lives in the app's sandboxed storage on that iPhone. It is not backed up to any Rowwise service, because there is none. iCloud backup behaviour is governed by Apple's normal rules for app documents, not by us.
Rowwise Pro — row photographs, the backup archive and the printable project card — is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple through your Apple Account. Counting, notes and multiple counters stay free and need no purchase. We receive only the transaction information that StoreKit exposes to the app on your device, which is what lets Restore purchase work when you reinstall. We never see your name, address, card details or receipt email, and nothing renews: there is no subscription in this product.
Settings → Export writes your library to a file and opens the iOS share sheet, where you choose where it goes — Files, Mail, a drive, nowhere. The app makes no copy of that decision and has no channel to hear about it. Settings → Import a backup reads one of those archives back in on the same terms.
Deleting a project removes its rows, its notes and its photographs from the device at once. Deleting the app removes everything else it holds. There is no request to file with us and no waiting period, because there is nothing on our side to remove.
Rowwise is a knitting and crochet tool. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone.
If this policy changes, the version and date at the top of this page change, and the same page is updated. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated terms; in practice, a policy that promises "we hold nothing, and the code cannot reach the network" has very little room to grow.
